The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Mia Complicates Rey’s Life – Sharon Involved With Two Men

Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) debuts this week on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) wife has strong words for Sharon (Sharon Case), whose friendly involvement with Billy (Jason Thompson) is serving to create optional storyline paths.

Y&R stopped ‘Shick’, again, which was incredible. In so doing, the signal appeared to be that Sharon and Rey were destined to become a couple. Well, maybe not.

By writing in Mia, Rey now has a chance to reconcile with his apparent, current love. Yes, he’s just expressed his romantic feelings to Sharon and had them reciprocated. But an existing marriage means that Mia still matters. If Rey had stopped loving his wife, or wanted a clean break, he surely would have severed matters long ago, right?

Viewers will soon learn if Mia was involved with Arturo (Jason Canela), as seems to have been implied by the Rosales’ brothers recent conversation at Crimson Lights. If so, a separate, existing triangle will be introduced.

Sharon’s link to Billy is forming naturally. She was wronged by Nick (Joshua Morrow), he by Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). That’s establishing a commiseration pairing that expands to a public outing this week that intends to poke the now-reformed ‘Phick’.

Y&R seems to be using Sharon and Billy and possibly, a forthcoming ‘Shilly’ as dual voices representing ‘Shick’ fans. Gut-punched by yet another teased reunion, devoted viewers who have long been rooting for one-more marriage opportunity for Sharon and Nick now have two representatives.

Writing Sharon toward Billy may, or may not make storyline sense. Mia’s arrival in Genoa City could easily serve to force an issue, thereby blocking Sharon and Rey from developing their existing feelings. If so, then a variety of factors and common interests could allow ‘Shilly’ to become ‘Phick’s’ purposeful rival.

With whatever soapy roads are taken, Y&R is ingraining its newest family, the Rosales’, with established characters. Fresh faces, combining with beloved personalities makes GC an intriguing daily destination for all loyal daytime fans.
