The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Lily Won’t Give Up – Simone Becomes an Option

Simone (Shanica Knowles) is interested in a relationship with Devon (Bryton James) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Lily (Christel Khalil) knows that and made sure to put her in a good position this week in Genoa City.

As Y&R viewers recall, Simone is the new side character who could develop into a regular persona depending upon how this storyline is written. She’s a singer Devon signed to the Hamilton Winters Group’s LP label, which is its streaming music division.

Devon made a decision, that is already stirring strife, that allowed his sister to create her modeling agency under his corporate umbrella. With that in place, Lily told Simone that she also has model potential.

Yes, Simone could model. But Lily isn’t interested in the synergy that she cited. Instead, Simone represents a potential counter to Hilary (Mishael Morgan).

Lily’s plan to persuade Devon to not have a baby with Hilary hasn’t been successful. So a different tact is being taken. Lily is hoping that Simone can turn her brother’s head away from Hilary. Doing so would prevent him from forming a relationship with his one-time other half of ‘Hevon’.

Enough time hasn’t passed into order to confirm it, but Hilary’s pending pregnancy would seem to be forthcoming. It’s what she and Devon want. Lily is desperate to prevent further developments on that front and wants to believe that Simone’s presence could prevent Hilary from achieving her openly stated goal.

The alternative gamble Mrs. Ashby is taking is also worth the risk as a fallback option. If Devon is to become the father of Hilary’s baby, Lily is simply hoping that her brother and Simone fall in love. Their marriage would be welcomed, whereas ‘Hevon’ Part II would spell disaster.

Simone is understandably oblivious to what’s been detailed. She’s simply attracted to Devon and is hoping that he might be interested in pursuing romance. Hilary will now target Knowles character, who has intriguing potential within this evolving arc and is a threat.
