The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Lane’s Struggles Evolve – Juliet Lives On

In reality, Juliet (Laur Allen) is dead on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But her essence lives on through the son she had with Cane (Daniel Goddard). While Lily (Christel Khalil) didn’t push for a separation based upon what happened in Tokyo, the issues she faces now that she and her husband have reconciled are directly related to that event.

Devotees of Goddard and Khalil were hoping that the storyline that started early last year didn’t spell the end of ‘Lane’. And it hasn’t. Hardcore supporters of this pairing hope that remains true.

Recent established outdoor shots were of Paris. But the actual indoor scenes Cane and Lily were shown in a few weeks ago were filmed in Hollywoodland. Regardless, old school fans enjoyed the reminder of ‘Lane’s’ remarriage and the wonderful nuptials that were recorded in the past. Their placement in that touchstone territory furthered revival momentum.

The feel-good storyline that appeared to emerge by Lily agreeing to get back together, which included Cane’s return to the Ashby home, has been somewhat lessened in Genoa City. Yet all is hardly lost.

Open dialogue remains vital to the survival of this endearing couple. Honesty allowed both people to share their feelings and reach an accord about the expansion of the Ashby family. Yes, they have arrived in a new era. It’s one that both people have now created.

Lily’s world shifted the moment Cane brought Sam into the house. More than mental battles existed at that point, as Mrs. Ashby confronted the actuality of helping to raise Juliet’s son.

Allen’s character unexpectedly died due to complications with childbirth. But she’s lived on through the innocent little boy who needs a mother figure.

Whether Lily will be able to overcome all connected vexing issues isn’t yet known, which is further proof of well-written soap. Conflict and a move toward full resolution offers Cane the potential of redemption and with that the depth of ‘Lane’s’ love will continue to be tested.
