The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Kyle’s Role in Dina Reveal Exposed – Ravi Tells Ashley the Truth

Kyle (Michael Mealor) is full of hubris on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s why he’s put himself in a bad position with his family. Pushing his chips toward Victor (Eric Braeden) will also now prove incredibly foolish.

Ravi (Abhi Sinha) hadn’t been seen on Y&R in awhile. As viewers recall he and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) used to be an item until, for whatever reasons, the writers decided to type ‘Rashley’ away from each other.

Seasoned soap fans knew that Kyle’s request for Ravi’s help would prove to be a key mistake. Mr. Grudge apparently didn’t know that Jabot’s tech guy was linked to Ashley and would surely have a conversation with her sometime after the memory stick recovery job took place.

Yes, Victor was the person who retained the thumb drive and made sure the clipped footage made it into the documentary-style film Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) prepared. But Kyle gave the ‘Moustache’ the power to cause that chaos.

Mealor’s well-cast character saw his cousin and aunt discard the flash drive, which is yet another alternative way to describe the bytes that showed Dina’s dish about John (Jerry Douglas) not being Jack’s father. Kyle then opted to not ask Abby (Melissa Ordway), or Ashley about the contents Ravi restored. Instead, he used the shocking information to try and leverage a job from Victor at Newman Enterprises. Yes, it seems that Kyle is still behaving like a kid even though he’s in his SORAS’d mid-20’s.

Hopefully Sinha’s engaging character will be seen more often in Genoa City. Possibly this write-back will allow Ravi to again be involved in Jabot’s day-to-day business, or to be given another personal storyline where he’s one of the main characters. Though, Kyle will likely want to see less of him in the near-term.

Kyle has positioned himself aside of Victor as a perceived ally. That means Jack’s son is actually standing on his own. And Kyle’s choice to use what might be Jack’s paternity secret won’t be forgotten, or forgiven any time soon.
