The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Kyle’s Long Game Continues – Jack Keeps Resentful Son Close

Jack (Peter Bergman) wants to believe in Kyle (Michael Mealor) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But he can’t because of that incredulous connection to the ‘Moustache’.

Of all the people in the world, why would Kyle collude with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? That point haunted Jack while he was being wrongfully held in prison, believed guilty of attacking Victor at the Ranch. He’s since been proven innocent, released and returned to his rightful place at Jabot.

Well, Jack thinks he’s a blood-Abbot and should be its Chief Executive Officer. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) know different, but that’s another story to unfold.

During the years that Kyle was off in New York, he had remained loyal to Jabot. But a handful of months ago, when his father needed is support during a confidence vote, Kyle voted no. Combine that lead-in and what Mealor’s character attempted to do while Jack was imprisoned and there is no logical cause for trust.

Kyle was seen speaking to the then unconscious Victor. He told his once and again perceived mentor that the plan to take Jabot public was on-track. In Kyle’s mind and possibly Victor’s as well, the family business would become an Initial Public Offering on the stock exchange and Newman Enterprises would attain controlling interest.

After trying and failing to hold a Board of Directors’ vote where said scheme was to have come to fruition, Kyle had a man-to-man with his dad. Actually it was more like a resentful teenager to father talk. Both men laid their thoughts on the table, while appearing to withhold an ace, or two.

The seeming heart-to-heart resulted in Kyle explaining that he’d felt left out, but would start anew. He later orchestrated a toast-Jack-back-to-Jabot event that seemed too good to be true.

Jack still doesn’t trust Kyle. Scenes still haven’t been shown where Victor and Kyle speak directly to each other. What are Y&R fans to do? Watch.
