The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Kyle Steps Into the Shade – Jack’s Son Written Darker

Michael Mealor is the recast for Kyle on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The lead-in to this cast change and early impressions indicate that Y&R has chosen to write Jack’s (Peter Bergman) son in a darker direction.

After finding Victor (Eric Braeden) unconscious at the bottom of the Ranch stairs, Jack had a choice to make. He did call for medical assistance, but not initially. Instead, Mr. Abbott went upstairs.

Jack entered the hallway, where a fracas had apparently taken place. It had. Then, he went into Victor’s home office. Both the hallway and the office were just invented, as Y&R fans know.

The extensions of the set were created so that J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and Victor could beat the heck out of each other. That well-played melee established the ‘Moustache’s’ trip down the stairs and subsequent coma.

Victor’s nemesis stole some items, which included a backup hard drive, before he went back downstairs. Then Jack called Genoa City Memorial Hospital and waited for the ambulance and the authorities to show up.

Later, Jack was reviewing Victor’s digital contents and discovered a shocking email thread. Kyle and Victor had been corresponding for months and had developed some sort of plan.

As viewers were being led to believe that Kyle was fully working with Victor, they saw him enter the ‘Black Knight’s’ hospital room. Well, they saw his stylish tan shoes enter. The next day Mealor fully debuted. When that happened it appeared as though Kyle didn’t believe Victor was actually in a coma.

Is Kyle working purely against his father, or is he playing him and Victor? No, this isn’t Lachlan Buchanan’s version of Jack’s son.

A new day has dawned if Y&R has opted to take Kyle dark. Like his dad, the persona Mealor now embodies is a ladies man. So more than one woman will surely be linked to this available Abbott.

When it comes to business, Kyle was previously tutored by Victor. It’s not out of the question to believe that he’ll join Newman Enterprises unless that’s already happened. In the meantime, his dad will try to determine why his son has changed.
