The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Kyle Encourages Jack to Grab Chancellor – Phillip’s DNA In-Hand

The logic of someone doing what Kyle (Michael Mealor) did on ‘The Young and the Restless’ isn’t feasible. But this is Genoa City, where anything is possible. As Jack (Peter Bergman) learned, that meant his son illegally exhuming the remains of Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes).

Kyle has momentarily avoided jail due to his dad having vouched for him at night court. The sweet-talk he later offered to Esther (Kate Linder) within the Jabot mansion will enable her to speak to Jill (Jess Walton) about not pursuing punishment for Kyle’s incredible feat.

All longtime observers know that Jill won’t be as easy to persuade if she’s able to be influenced away from applying consequences to Kyle at all. Along with that, fans know that Walton has been filming scenes for a number of weeks and will soon appear as Jill, who will surely have plenty to say about her beloved Phillip’s peace being disturbed.

How could one young man dig a perfectly rectangular grave, open what was a sealed coffin, retrieve a seeming bone fragment, and not have that sample discovered when the GC Police Department arrested him? All of the various elements within that particular line of plot, meaning the story and not Phillip’s backyard burial site, are unbelievable. However, soap fans know the drill and keep moving forward.

Okay, so Jack now has physical evidence that he can use to test against his own DNA. As Kyle suggested, they can pursue this answer and then, based upon them actually being Chancellor’s (if that’s the case), seek to gain control of Chancellor Industries.

Kyle next wants to put his hands on the company that Jill controls. However, as Jack pointed out, the evidence Kyle obtained won’t be admissible in court.

Somehow these daytime situations have a way of working themselves out. Meanwhile, viewers must be wondering if Jack will actually prove-out as Phillip’s biological son.

Jack Chancellor just doesn’t sound right and goes against all known Y&R history. But at least an answer to this totally unexpected adventure Bergman’s character been pursuing appears to be nearing.
