The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Jill’s Business Plan Is Goofy – Billy Remains A Child

Jill (Jess Walton) tried playing matchmaker in the past on ‘The Young and the Restless’. This time her connection efforts aren’t related to romance, but business. She’s chosen to help her son Billy (Jason Thompson), who never seems to grow up, in a different way as 2018 begins.

It’s as if mom is getting her offspring a summer job at the pool. Having lost his paperboy and grass-cutting gigs, ‘Billy-boy’ was in need of employment. Jill came running to the rescue and also gave him his brown bag lunch.

For his part, Billy wasn’t causing his mother any trouble. Basically, he was just taking some time after the Brash and Sassy debacle to find his next niche.

As Y&R viewers recall, Jill used the Newman Enterprises’ one-time division, which she took from Billy, in an attempt to reunite ‘Villy’. While Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and her multiple-time husband made goo-goo eyes at each other on many occasions, they never actually opted to recouple.

More to the current point, Jill’s use of a business venture to promote personal matters failed miserably. Brash and Sassy had a dysfunctional brain-trust of three people, Vickie, Billy and Cane (Daniel Goddard). Eventually, the division Vickie once helped to found was folded back into Newman, where it now stands.

Chancellor Industries, which Jill owns, has been running smoothly since Cane took over. He recently hired J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) as a top executive. CI’s 2018 outlook appeared bright until ‘Mama Bear’ pushed her cub into the CEO’s chair.

Billy arrived at the fabled Chancellor mansion setting and told Cane that Jill made him Co-CEO. The stepbrothers were thus reunited. Meanwhile Jill was set to fly off to Colin (Tristan Rogers), where she and her husband will continue to trek across the globe.

Mrs. Atkinson actually decided last month to sell CI to Jack (Peter Bergman). She wanted fluid funds to help whoever she thinks are downtrodden around the world.

Impulsively deciding that Billy’s need for a job was more important than the yearning masses, Jill has recreated a dueling dynamic. Cane and Billy haven’t liked each other forever and will surely engage in further antics at their mom’s company. Oh brother, or step-brother as the case may be.
