Jack (Peter Bergman) arrived in time on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He stopped Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) reckless scheme to take Jabot public. While Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) just cast the deciding vote in favor of the scheme, the main suit in this family company took control and withdrew his son’s motion. Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) continue to hold powerful information that will change Jack’s life and possibly, the company forever.
Being held prisoner for a week wasn’t something anyone would like. In Jack’s case, being incarcerated nearly cost him Jabot. But he now thinks, albeit potentially naively, that he’s rescued the family business.
It’s uncertain if Kyle was truly acting on his own, had been colluding with Victor (Eric Braeden) in past months about this specific plan or the truth was somewhere in between. Viewers should soon learn the shimmy, as the ‘Moustache’ is awake and speaking.
Ashley has taken the lead on the paternity issue, which has been wearing heavily on her soul. Should she tell Jack what Dina (Marla Adams) recently admitted and that has since been confirmed through a DNA test? John (Jerry Douglas) also isn’t Jack’s father!

Y&R fans learned decades ago that Ashley wasn’t a blood Abbott. Jack used that point to block his sister from taking control of Jabot in recent months. While he didn’t know it, Ashley was prepared to use the paternity card against Kyle, who isn’t a blood Abbott either, if that move was needed (but, of course, wasn’t).
Ashley has no current way of knowing who Jack’s real father was, or is. That secondary reveal appears set to play out this spring. Possibly, Dina’s memory will be jarred, or some unforeseen event will result in the man’s identity being secured.
With whatever happens, Ashley understandably feels that Jack will be rocked by what comes to be known. Whatever fallout comes from his reaction, or the implications of whatever his paternal blood ties make this an intriguing arc on Y&R.
