The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: J.T. Should Come Clean With Vickie – Chance For Renewed Family At Stake

J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) seems sincere on ‘The Young and the Restless’. His interest in reviving a relationship with Vickie (Amelia Heinle) has been presented openly. But he should come clean with his ex- and potential next wife about why he’s taking prescription medicine.

Hiding a pill bottle in a carry bag doesn’t necessarily imply that J.T. has a drug problem. Yes, this is Genoa City. However, every plot point doesn’t always prove to be a worse-case scenario. Y&R fans know that red herrings are often thrown at them in order to allow multiple storyline projections.

Victoria is interested in reforming her pre-‘Villy’ family. That’s why she’s moved so quickly to establish romantic ties with J.T.

Giving a key to her ex-husband took moments to consider, rather than months. That move on the former Mrs. Hellstrom’s (and former Mrs. Luckinbill’s) part was curious.

Regarding the real life reference in the last paragraph, Heinle and Luckinbill are obviously able to get along at work after divorcing last year. No news exists about their potentially recoupling outside of the set and reforming their own family, but hopefully that remains possible for them.

Storyline development generally plays out slowly. But Luckinbill advised when his character reappeared in December that J.T.’s arc might only last until late February or early March. So it’s possible that Vickie’s seemingly impulsive choice and J.T.’s pill-pop are reflective of Luckinbill’s limited time with the cast.

Some type of diagnosed, or undiagnosed condition could require medicine. J.T. could also be using a prescription in response to pain that he’s suffering due to a recent injury that hasn’t been properly addressed, or as part of ongoing recovery from an operation. Of course, there are other options that could exist.

If, for whatever reason, J.T. is becoming, or has become addicted to whatever he’s taking, then that problem should be shared with the woman he’s agreed to share his life with once again. J.T.’s should seek advice and help, if needed, from Vickie.

‘JTV’ also has a son, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). Two stable parents are needed in that young man’s life right now as well.
