J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) was hoping that Victor (Eric Braeden) didn’t make it on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But the resilient ‘Moustache’ has opened his eyes, which means that he’s a threat to J.T.’s freedom.
The brilliant fight scene between Lucking and Braeden arguably ranks with the best physical battles in recent daytime history. Well-crafted, filmed and of course acted. The end result allowed the audience to see Victor falling backwards, in slow-motion down the stairs at the Ranch.
The sight of Victor’s unconscious body lying in the foyer, while a bloodied J.T. peered at him, turned and walked away was chilling. Following what happened earlier that day with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), the devolution of Luckinbill’s character was fully verified.
J.T.’s current mental state hasn’t been defined. The audience doesn’t know if the medication he’s been taking for his heart issue is creating strong side effects, he’s abusing said meds, or taking some unauthorized additional supplement? Possibly J.T. simply has untreated mental health problems.
With whatever proves true, it’s certain that he won’t be moving much further without facing the consequences of the crime he committed against Victor. Various character’s lives will be altered the moment the ‘Dark Knight’ reports what J.T. did to him.
Vickie will naturally be devastated. The recent warning Mackenzie (Kelly Kruger) offered will instantly be revisited.

Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will be deeply impacted by the revelations about his father. Viewers can assume that further information about why Leabu’s character bolted from D.C. will then be revealed.
Traci’s (Beth Maitland) conversation with J.T. at the Top of the Tower, which happened after her Colleen (Tammin Sursok) endowment speech, was ominous. She’ll understand what her late daughter’s love meant when news of J.T.’s actions is made public.
It appears that Luckinbill’s time on Y&R is growing short. While nothing is ever certain in daytime, J.T.’s violent act against Victor and then having left him for dead appears likely to mean his escape from town, incarceration, or based upon existing health issues, death.
