The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: J.T. Can’t Top Victor – Black Knight Bests Vickie’s Man

Victor (Eric Braeden) is a sly fox on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) believes that his grandfather doesn’t have anything relevant to teach him. But his father, J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) is about to be schooled by the ‘Black Knight’.

Viewers know that Paul (Doug Davidson) has been pressuring J.T. to get the goods on Victor. The chief and his wife, Genoa City’s District Attorney Chris (Lauralee Bell), believe that the head of Newman Enterprises is involved in a price-fixing scheme.

The above-referenced charge was clearly invented to further a storyline that pits Luckinbill’s revived character against Braeden’s alter ego. While the bit is somewhat weak, both actor’s on-screen chemistry is solid and therefore has allowed this arc to become engaging.

Seeing J.T. ascend the stairs at the Ranch was interesting. It appeared to be the first time viewers were allowed to see the second floor of the Newman’s rebuilt abode, even though construction was completed earlier this decade.

Viewer’s eyes were surely glued to their screens when J.T. was snooping in Victor’s upstairs office. The ‘Moustache’ became aware that the head of Newman Enterprises’ security was where he shouldn’t be, went upstairs after check-mating Reed and questioned J.T.

The idea that Mr. Hellstrom believes that he can return to Victor’s lair and break into the safe he located is doubly presumptuous. Regardless of his digital lock-picking ability, how does he know any evidence exists and why would it be there?

Additionally, as part of Y&R’s forty-fifth-anniversary week special, various classic characters will be brought back. Mack (Kelly Kruger), Brittany (Lauren Woodland) and Raul (David Lago) are being written back to GC for a Walnut Grove reunion, which dovetails with J.T.’s evolving storyline as well.

Will J.T.’s wife, or one of his old friends need to bail him out of jail if he’s arrested, or help him pick up the pieces of his life after Vickie (Amelia Heinle) learns that her sudden significant other has betrayed her trust? Regardless of the answers, J.T. is engaging in activity that is very dangerous and can’t possibly end well.
