The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary’s Plight Heart-wrenching – Devon Makes Wedding Plans

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is likely to die on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Nate’s (Brooks Darnell) dire prognosis means that Devon (Bryton James) may only have a handful of days left to spend with his true love.

Wedding plans, made under these circumstances, aren’t joyful. Instead, Devon is fighting a powerful mortality clock. Teaser’s indicate he beats it. But other information he learns along the way, or soon thereafter will impact his life in unexpected ways.

No one would have expected a young, vibrant woman like Hilary to be stopped in the prime of her life. But Morgan’s voluntary departure from Y&R’s cast appears to have generated the dramatic write-out that’s unfolding.

Unless a sudden turnabout happens, Hilary could be gone before month’s end. If a reversal is written the character Morgan is playing would seem almost certain to be recast, as Hilary’s departure from Genoa City would feel contrived under these circumstances.

A fall into another coma, or moving a proposed unconscious Hilary to a facility for indefinite treatment can’t possibly be what’s coming. Instead, a final bow, followed by a followup reveal(s) must be next.

However, the mystery man Hilary met with last week offers an intriguing plot point. Is is possible that he was the father of her now, sadly deceased baby? If so, then other outcomes could be written, with or without Hilary being present. In the meantime the focus will rightfully stay on Hilary, who’s injuries have pushed her existence into a seeming death spiral.

A series of tearful hospital bed one-on-one’s will take place, with Lily’s (Christel Khalil) plea for forgiveness ranking chief among them. The sparked interplay between Morgan and Khalil establishes what surely will be a memorable farewell, along with the rest.

‘Hevon’ fans have already entered the grieving process, as this recently united couple now seems likely to perish. Supporters of this dynamic couple surely can attest that the collaborative efforts Morgan and James offered rank with the best offered by all other pairings during ‘Hevon’s’ run.
