The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary To Use Devon’s Sample – Baby On The Way

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) gained an idea through Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. It’s not that her only friend in Genoa City suggested it, but Miss Curtis’ mind works in creative ways. Yes, Hilary will follow through on Devon’s (Bryton James) initial wishes to have a baby while not telling him the full truth.

‘Hevon’ was and remains in love. Hilary will admit that, Devon won’t. Until recent weeks, the second half of this pairing decided that he wanted Hilary to be the mother of his first child. But this lady’s actions and the presence of a new romantic interest changed Mr. Hamilton’s outlook.

Hilary felt compelled to tell Simone (Shanica Knowles) that she and Devon were going to be parents. LP Streaming’s newest singer didn’t know that the man she was becoming involved with was pursuing that goal and voiced understandable surprise.

Devon knows Hilary as well as anyone. So he saw that his only true love (to-date) was simply trying to push away a threat. That stirred feelings about why ‘Hevon’ Part I ended and was followed by Hilary telling her GC Buzz audience that she was expecting, which proved not to be true.

A visit to the doctor unexpectedly revealed that Hilary had a chemical pregnancy and wasn’t going to have Devon’s child. That fact was followed by a chat with Phyllis at Crimson Lights, where Devon’s existing sample was raised. Hilary decided on the spot to return to her original plan and use science to reach her goal.

Of course, Devon won’t be aware of what’s happening and wouldn’t authorize Hilary’s efforts. She’s purposely overlooking what she knows Devon’s response would be. A baby will tie her to the man she wants forever and may even change his mind, in a positive direction, eventually.

All points suggested will take time to play out in GC. Yes, Devon will learn what Hilary is doing, at some point, and be outraged. But if her plan works, the sight of the newborn child’s face will light up Devon’s face. At that point, ‘Hevon’ Part II will be possible, if it isn’t already in place.
