The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary Battles Mortality – Devon Fights For Love

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is dying on ‘The Young and the Restless’. If a miracle occurs a new actor will be play Hilary because Morgan is known to have already filmed her final scenes. So unless a secret recast has taken place, Y&R fans know they will soon be watching Hilary die.

Devon (Bryton James) accepted Nate’s (Brooks Darnell) dire prognosis after initially rejecting it. But Hilary’s fiance didn’t want his once-again bride to know that she only had days to live. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) couldn’t lie to her best friend, which is why she told Hilary that she wasn’t expected to make it.

Hardcore Y&R fans know that Lauren (Tracey Bregman) was swapped out for Hilary within the last year, as Bregman’s character was Phyllis’ confidant since she looked like Michelle Stafford. This previous backstory development is allowing Tognoni’s version to play a key moment at the likely end of Hilary’s life.

The nicely crafted write-out for Morgan has Lily (Christel Khalil) as the leading cause of Hilary’s perilous state. That reality allowed both women to forgive and then bond, which will provide closure for Lily after her longtime nemesis passes into eternity.

The series of visitors who have been seen in Hilary’s hospital room represents Y&R’s ode to Morgan, who became a key cast member since debuting in 2013. Hilary had the it factor, as a number of arcs and this actor’s consistently strong performances dovetailed to create a character who made her mark in Genoa City, which meant that Morgan secured the hearts of many fans.

‘Hevon’s’ endearing love story took what seemed to be a positive turn in recent months. After Devon agreed to have a baby with Hilary, he realized that the feelings they shared deserved to be revisited and furthered.

This couple’s fallback into love was touching. Current scenes will long be remembered. Hilary won’t be forgotten by anyone who knew her in this fictional town and all appreciative soap fans will always value what Morgan brought to this iconic soap.
