The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary and Devon Spark Baby – Hevon Potential Blooms

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) decided in recent months that she wants to have a baby on ‘The Young and the Restless’. An initial, individual pursuit allowed her to realize that love, not cold science, was the right way to reach her goal. Devon (Bryton James) is now, rightfully, part of this natural process as well.

A series of events, one including a hilarious dream sequence, affirmed that going it alone was wrong. Hilary’s desire to create life is obviously and without any reasoned debate what human beings have been doing on the soaps and in the real world for ages. How else would Genoa City (and reality on the other side of the screen) be populated if not for this infinite decision?

There has been push-back to Hilary’s desire to expand her world through the only man she’s truly cared for, married and never got over. Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) are adamantly opposed to Hilary’s idea. ‘Lane’ wants to protect Devon and is also working off numerous experiences where Morgan’s character attempted to destroy them and their family.

Devon paused when first considering Hilary’s request. While it’s clear that he wants to maintain their personal link, Devon wasn’t interested in the initial unnatural course of action she felt committed to. He eventually developed his thoughts, but then old feelings overrode the planned process.

The idea that ‘Hevon’ would eventually be reborn took root when the couple split more than a year ago. An amicable parting ensued at that time. The lack of bitterness clearly implied that both people would make their way back to each other, as they now have.

The odds of ‘Hevon’ fully reforming will dramatically improve the moment Hilary’s pregnancy is affirmed by a doctor. That should happen in April, as spring flowers begin to bloom.

It’s understood that Y&R could write this storyline in many directions. Hopefully, a healthy baby is born shortly after the turn of the year. Many emotional moments will surely have happened by that time, which should allow Hilary and Devon to reaffirm their bond as well.
