The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hevon Grows Closer – Hilary and Devon Building Stronger Relationship

‘Hevon’ Part I was, quite often, traumatic, on ‘The Young and the Restless’. ‘Hevon’ Part II is already different in varying ways. As a result of the odds of this engaging couple remaining together and hopefully remarrying appear good.

For starters, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) aren’t starting this relationship in the middle of a separate marriage. As Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) injection into the penthouse bidding war proved, he still doesn’t trust his ex-wife. No, the second edition of ‘Hevon’ has nothing to do with Mr. Winters’ feelings.

This go-round, one of Y&R’s most charismatic pairings are forming a different type of connection. They explored the dating world as singles. But Hilary and Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) didn’t click and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) came to see Devon as what he’d long been, a friend. So, the draw to ‘Hevon’ was free to restart.

Kudos to executive producer Mal Young and his team for writing a baby into the current version of this reforming couple. That element alone telegraphs a different scene then the first act.

Devon’s choice to buy back GC Buzz was linked to his still-existing feelings for the host of the ‘Hilary Hour’. The decision to have Hilary work in the executive suite office firmly indicated that Devon wanted Hilary within close, regular proximity. However, his choice to father a baby was proof that ‘Hevon’ Part II was possible, if not probable.

Oh, there’s sure to be drama as Hilary’s pregnancy unfolds. But that’s also true for many expectant couples.

Fans of this duo were surely overjoyed to see that Y&R believed in the collaborative on-screen electricity of Morgan and James. Now, as ‘Hevon’ Part II progresses, it’s heart-warming to see Hilary and Devon falling back in love.

Their baby is the strongest sign that this sequel will be a different type of story. Well, actually it already is. As viewers know from their own experiences, enduring couples work to maintain important ties. That’s what Hilary and Devon are doing.
