The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Devon Falling In Love Again – Hevon Progressing

Devon (Bryton James) is falling in love again on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) remains his soul mate, even though they’ve been apart for awhile. However, the door to ‘Hevon’ the sequel was fully opened by James’ character this week.

Yes, the Genoa City Athletic Club rooftop ruse did it. Longtime fans of this pairing and Hilary were impressed. There’s now no question that Devon, like Hilary, is open to reuniting. That green light has been long awaited by all who value great soap and its stars.

Seeing Hilary with Shauna (Camryn Hamm) enabled Devon’s feelings to evolve. He’s long seen Morgan’s character as a romantic match. But the mentoring Hilary’s been doing with Hamm’s engaging character shed a different, very positive light on the host of the ‘Hilary Hour’.

Hilary’s seemingly greatest vulnerability appears to be her insecurity. That feeling drives many of her actions, which then creates personal drama. Devon had enough of the soap within a soap last year and opted to file for divorce. Hilary didn’t oppose the parting, which ended amicably.

Devon’s interest in having a baby with Hilary obviously furthered the belief that he was completely interested in getting back together with her. Having previously reacquired GC Buzz naturally allowed viewers to know that at least the option of a reunion was rapidly approaching.

As the summer dawns, Hilary and Devon are almost certain to learn that they’ll be parents. That infinite link will afford each maturing person an opportunity to embrace a refreshed ‘Hevon’.

Various Y&R writing staffs have existed since Morgan joined the cast in 2013. On-screen magic results each time a team of scribes wrote her together with James. Of course that happened due to solid scripts and the immense talent of the actors who are bringing words on paper (or a tablet) to life.

Here’s hoping that ‘Hevon’ Part II includes a healthy baby and remarriage. The characters and the actors who play them deserve another full shot at daytime destiny.
