The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hevon Reunion Is On – Devon And Hilary’s Dance Continues

‘Hevon’ isn’t back together yet on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But the revival between Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is proceeding. With that Y&R fans continue to enjoy the collaborative efforts two strong stars consistently produce within an iconic show.

Solid writing affords opportunities for daytime actors to generate memorable work. But tenured soap fans know that great daytime couples emerge when a special intangible exists between actors who embody a duo. Such is the case between James, who’s been part of Y&R’s cast since 2004, and Morgan, who debuted in 2013.

Some are used to Hilary’s name being written first, as the lead to ‘Hevon’ begins with a capitalized letter, represents Hilary and is followed by the last four of five total letters in Devon’s moniker. However, with whatever develops in the near- and longer-term future, Devon has taken greater control over the rebooting relationship. So maybe this go-round should be termed ‘Dillary’, or ‘Hevon’ II?

The sight of Devon and Hilary dancing at the Hamilton Winters Group office brings smiles to the faces of this couple’s fans and to all who appreciate positive storytelling. It’s been awhile, but not forever since this pair was actually together. As viewers recall, Devon decided to call it quits in the early part of 2017. It was at that point what had been unbalanced relationship ended amicably. Hilary agreed their lives needed to change, but rightly asserted that they both still loved each other. Devon concurred, which was encouraging.

Devon’s choice to buy GC Buzz and allow Hilary to work in the main office obviously winked at possibilities. But his decision to accept Hilary’s baby offer supercharged everyone’s hopes that ‘Hevon’ Part II could actually happen.

Great entertainment often begins with ideas inside the minds of off-stage creative. Smart casting then allows on-screen talent time to grow. James and Morgan continue to turn carefully crafted scripts and all behind-the-scenes assistance into daytime gold. Here’s hoping that a baby is born early next year and that the current incarnation of this charismatic pairing has already fully reformed.
