‘Philly’ will be impacted the moment Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) are no longer a couple on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Billy (Jason Thompson) will default to Vickie’s defense, while Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) continues to remain protective of Nick (Joshua Morrow).
‘J.T.V.’ is bound to split either when mini-stroke-afflicted Victor (Eric Braeden) somehow communicates that he and J.T. fought at the Ranch, or if Mr. Hellstrom exhibits yet another burst of aggression. This couple’s days have been numbered ever since Luckinbill’s character grabbed Vickie by the neck and pushed her back against the living room wall.
Relationship counseling sessions won’t save this revived duo that had been making wedding plans. Nothing in this, or any soap world can be projected too far out. Let’s just say that Vickie and J.T. will soon be over. That parting will then test ‘Philly’s’ staying power.
Phyllis is very concerned that Nick is capable of falling under Sharon’s (Sharon Case) spell again. How ironic that this once-brazen character, who was then embodied by Michelle Stafford, would be concerned about Nick’s romantic endeavors. Phyllis is the person who swayed Nick away from Sharon after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died.
So, Vickie will be alone, distraught and vulnerable. Billy sees her regularly due to the custody arrangement involving their children, Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie (Sienna Mercuri). That proximity will naturally lead to emotional sharing.
If a ‘Villy’ spark is seen, Phyllis will have a fallback option. His name isn’t Jack (Peter Bergman), either.
Nick isn’t currently interested in Phyllis, but she’s obviously highly appealing. He did kiss Sharon recently, which came after he accepted her invitation to move into the Cottage.

Sharon has stated that she’s interested in Nick again and believes that they might be able to revive what they had. She hasn’t told him that yet through. Nick does trust his original true love again because of the lengths Sharon took to make sure he knew Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) wasn’t his biological child.
A sequel to ‘Shick’ appears the better storyline play when compared to another round of ‘Phick’. It would serve to revisit one of Y&R’s greatest couples and redress wrongs that were done, involving Phyllis, more than a decade ago.
