The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Chelsea’s Scheme Leads To Climax – Jordan Returns To Complete Storyline

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) apparently never fully turned away from her scammer life on ‘The Young and the Restless’. As Y&R viewers have seen, Chelsea’s role play as Alexandra West involves heavy amounts of money. Yes, the backup plan that she referenced with Nick (Joshua Morrow) recently is being employed.

Based on what’s been seen, Chelsea is behind the cloned site that’s tagged as stealing money from Fenmore’s. J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) is already on the case. Time will tell if he uncovers Chelsea’s duplicity, or what comes of that, if anything.

Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) left town awhile ago, which came after Hilary (Mishael Morgan) exposed his past life as a widow scammer. The ‘Hilary Hour’ Host also unwittingly revealed that Chelsea was part of a tandem that bilked widows out of their fortunes. Jordan’s return to the story coincides with Egan’s upcoming departure from the cast and thus, Chelsea’s write-out.

The sight of Chelsea taking some of the stacks of cash Nick found in the penthouse vents to the location where Adam’s (Justin Hartley) remains are stored was chilling. The scene where she put seemingly more than one hundred thousand dollars into Adam’s mini-tomb confirmed why so many references to this apparently dead character have been made in recent months. But that was just one cold breeze that blew.

Adam fans, or ‘Chadam’ fans likely lost color when they realized that Y&R may not have been establishing Adam’s return since late last year. It could be that the lead-in to current events has purely been connected to Egan’s pending departure. Thus another moment of lost hope about one of Y&R’s most electric characters, Adam, returning appears to remain dead. Sorry, that had to be written.

As for Chelsea’s imminent departure, she seems to be setting up an exit strategy. Why that would be is purposely perplexing. The Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity reveal seems highly likely to play into Mrs. Adam Newman’s exit. Whether that also means that Adam doesn’t return remains unknown, which compels viewers to keep watching.
