The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Chelsea’s Link To Found Money – Nick Points to Adam

Viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ recall that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) recently exposed Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) scammer past, where she and Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) conned widows. Nick (Joshua Morrow) has seemingly forgotten about that revelation and therefore isn’t linking the possibility that Chelsea’s past score may have landed more than one quarter of a million dollars that she hid in her home.

Nick found paper money in the penthouse vents. But George Washington’s image wasn’t gracing those bills. Instead it was another incredible American, Ben Franklin, who also helped to end Britain’s irrational taxation of the subjects in its colonies.

Chelsea’s reaction to this found money was one of concern, rather than surprise. That implies it’s either her money, or that she was aware of the loot Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley) somehow obtained and then socked away for whatever reason.

Adam’s widow did mention the “boys”, which referred to Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), after Nick discussed having the local authorities check his find out. So Chelsea may have been thinking that Adam’s money can be used to help both his sons, or the cash she’d saved could be put toward their college funds. Y&R viewers remain vigilant for the anticipated Christian paternity reveal, which this plot point might be part of.

Interestingly, Nick spoke with Sharon (Sharon Case) about his find. He questioned Adam’s other great love to no avail, as the other half of ‘Shadam’ wasn’t, or didn’t appear to be aware of the stash.

A variety of storyline doors could be opened through this latest Adam reference, which continues a pattern. The ears of all soap fans are tuned to repeated mentions of any past character, as they can mean that former fictional persona has been recast, or a past member has rejoined, or will soon be rejoining the cast. Yes, Michael Muhney’s name is considered in this regard.

As for ‘Chadam’, might that couple have had some secret that was never told which resulted in money being made and then hidden? That alternative answer, along with others should soon be confirmed, or discounted.
