The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Chelsea Attempts To Leave Genoa City – Nick Dismayed and Devastated

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) tried to con herself on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She chose to believe that her actions would remain buried, unlike the apparently dead Adam (Justin Hartley). But Chelsea’s faux life in Genoa City has taken its inevitable soapy turn and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) world is about to be upended, once again.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) sounded the alarm in recent weeks, but Nick initially rejected her suspicions. Then, after catching Chelsea in a few lies he sought his ex-wife’s counsel.

Sharon (Sharon Case) was the most unlikely person for Phyllis to enlist in any cause. But this specific instance involved Nick’s welfare, which both mother’s of his children care deeply about. So Case’s character agreed to ferret out information about Adam’s DNA sample from the GC Police Department.

Armed with conclusive proof that Nick wasn’t Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) father, Phyllis told Chelsea that she wouldn’t drop the big reveal right now. But she also told the woman who intends to marry Nick in March that the heat wasn’t off.

Cut to Crimson Lights, where Sharon’s conscious compelled her to call Nick. She was turned toward the bar, had just reached Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Noah’s (Robert Adamson) father and was about to finish the conversation they started earlier in the coffee house that’s remained a touchstone setting for ‘Shick’.

A black-gloved hand was shown lifting a blunt object and hitting Sharon over the head. She fell to the ground, along with her face-up smartphone. Had Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) returned? No, it was Chelsea mimicking a scene viewers saw play out months ago just prior to Chloe’s departure.

Chelsea will attempt to flee GC with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and his brother, Connor. Nick will initially be dismayed and then when all is learned, he’ll also be devastated.

Nick will be hurt and alone. Sharon will be injured and in the hospital. Devoted fans of this one-time couple will naturally see the potential light within these dark scenarios.
