With wherever Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is on ‘The Young and the Restless’, be it up above, on Purgatory row, or somewhere below that, she’s still causing trouble between the Winters, Ashby, and Hamilton families. The factors leading to Hilary’s death are being reexamined now that a truthful admission was made by her longtime nemesis, which has Cane (Daniel Goddard) terrified that his wife will be sent to prison.
Despite the fact that Lily (Christel Khalil) and Hilary made peace before Morgan’s character died, conflict still exists between those who loved and loathed Mrs. Hamilton. Ironically, and in considering the admissions made on her death bed, Hilary would likely defend Lily if alive. The GC Buzz host would admit that both ladies were equally engaged in a verbal fight while Lily was driving.
Paul (Doug Davidson) is the Chief of Police in Genoa City. After being retained, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) called his friend and requested a meeting at the Hamilton Winters Group offices. Lily’s attorney advised his client that Paul would be all business when he arrived and he surely was that.
Lily is an honest person. Charlie’s (Noah Alexander Gerry) mother didn’t realize that traffic laws were breached when she drove her vehicle through a stop light in downtown GC as the frantic Shauna (Camryn Hamm) search was proceeding.

Incredible grief, due to the loss of what would have been his first-born child and then his wife, has enabled Devon (Bryton James) to become vindictive. He not only told Lily that she needed to turn herself into the authorities, or he and Shauna would, but that he also felt justice should have allowed Lily to die in the infamous crash instead of Hilary and their child.
That cruel bash won’t ever be forgotten. It will take awhile for this adoptive brother and sister to reestablish their relationship. In fact, it might take 20 years, if it happens. That’s the amount of time Michael told Lily she could be spending in the state penitentiary if convicted.
This is soap. So Lily will never be sent to jail forever, or for two decades. But her more immediate plight is uncertain, which makes this storyline very engaging.
Meanwhile, Hilary is watching from somewhere. She might be angry with Devon’s response, which could spark a coming otherworldly visit.
