The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Cane Rightfully Threatened – Jack Chancellor Will Force Him Out

Cane (Daniel Goddard) is understandably upset on ‘The Young and the Restless’. His professional life finally got on track and now Jack’s (Peter Bergman) digging in Chancellor’s closets.

Dina (Marla Adams) gave Jack the green light, which is why he’s hot on his possible paternity trail. All seasoned Y&R fans know that Bergman’s character will not back off until he confirms some type of answer, which could be that he’s always had Chancellor blood flowing in him.

It was smart of Cane to tattle to, uh, tell Jill (Jess Walton) what Jack is up to. Jack anticipated that verbal relay and called his one-time romantic interest himself. He actually believed that Jill would be helpful, as Phillip (Donnelly Rhodes) remains her one true love.

If Dina’s seeming confirmation is followed by DNA proof, then Jill would gain access to another of Phillip’s living relatives. Jack therefore thought Jill would see this potential as good, but she surely did not.

Recent buzz revealed that the well-liked Walton is already filming scenes on Y&R’s sets. So viewers will soon see her summer-tanned face and hear the certain threats she’ll hurl at Jack.

Not thinking clearly, Jack saw no problem in asking Cane if he could dig up Phillips’ coffin that’s buried in the Chancellor grounds. Goddard’s character exploded when asked that permission and then spoke to Jill as previously noted.

There’s no question that if Jack does prove to be a Chancellor, he’ll then stake claim to the company that Katherine (played by the late, infinitely great Jeanne Cooper, who will always be this show’s greatest star) ran after Phillip’s untimely and infamous death. Jill is in charge now, which served to give Cane a job after his Brash and Sassy debacle.

For ‘Lane’s’ sake and his own peace of mind, Cane is hoping to squash Jack’s efforts, though that doesn’t seem likely based upon the evolving plot. Thus Jill will soon return to Genoa City and defend Chancellor and the greatest love of her life, Phillip. But her efforts and Cane’s hopes will be dashed if Jack proves out as being Phillip’s heretofore unknown son.
