The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Right To Question Phyllis – Nick Isn’t Her Man, Yet

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Right To Question Phyllis – Nick Isn't Her Man, YetBilly (Jason Thompson) opened a door on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He asked Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) why she was so overly concerned with Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) life? He doesn’t hold a higher place in her heart that Billy does, right?

Smart soap fans, which means all viewers, know that Phyllis is the mother of Summer (Hunter King). But King’s recurring character is an adult and her Y&R life isn’t in pieces right now (wink). So there’s no child-based reason for Phyllis to be so chummy with Nick. Instead, her recent turn involves a potentially unhealthy concern with his welfare.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, March 9: Ashley Fumes Over Her Firing, Abby Scores Proof to Clear Her Name – Hilary’s Disappointing NewsIt was odd to see Sharon (Sharon Case) gain a buddy, although temporary, in Phyllis. But the ladies teamed up when they suspected that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was up to something and she was. Then, after that crisis past, or actually, ran away, Tognoni’s character shifted her gaze to Nick’s nape.

‘Philly’ is today. ‘Philly’ is the pairing that Phyllis fought hard for, twice. ‘Philly’ has supplanted both versions of ‘Phack’. So is Phyllis interested in reestablishing ‘Phick’ now that Nick’s available?

It’s reasonable for Billy to have begun wondering if his current significant other, the no longer ‘Red’ lady, has allowed herself to become emotionally drawn back to Nick. Anyone who claims that’s not possible should remember this is Phyllis we’re talking (or, typing) about.

Phyllis likely, if not surely believes that she’s concerned about Nick putting himself in danger by moving into the cottage. She, like other GC characters and longtime Y&R fans know that Sharon had the greatest impact on Nick’s adult life. Translated, his past vulnerability to her never truly ended after he left Sharon and took up with Phyllis.

Yes, Phyllis hasn’t shown any greater level of concern for Nick than other people who love him. And, being concerned about ‘Shick’ the sequel happening is reasonable. But it’s also just as legit if Billy has, or will wonder if Phyllis might want Nick to eventually be her man again?
