The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Is Voice of Reason – Victoria Now Impulsive

Yes, they’ve switched places on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Billy (Jason Thompson), long chided as a reckless soul, now stands as the voice of reason. Vickie (Amelia Heinle) can’t see that reality yet, but she will. As for Miss Newman, she’s so enchanted by the thought of reconciliation with J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) that she can’t see Genoa City’s forest for the soapy trees.

Billy is right to be concerned about Vickie jumping head-first back into an old relationship. His ex-wife is currently blind to the fact that J.T. has some type of medical issue he’s confronting. Obviously, Mr. Hellstrom’s revived love interest will eventually become wise to whatever is looming in his back story.

Taking prescription medication doesn’t have to be troubling. But someone who keeps a pill bottle hidden and then downs said milligrams with a partial glass of wine is behaving suspiciously.

Y&R viewers haven’t been given enough information to know what J.T.’s problem is. Possibly he’s recovering from an injury and is merely dealing with pain management. Some personality types become dependent on pharmaceuticals, as Cane (Daniel Goddard) seemed primed to do before his character was written off to Tokyo, Japan. Although, it’s also plausible that Luckinbill’s character has some type of illness that’s recently been diagnosed.

Billy is content with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), but he remains personally tied to Victoria because of the kids they share custody of. Johnny (Ryan and Holden Hare) and Katie’s (Sienna Mercuri) welfare can be impacted by whoever their mother becomes involved with romantically. At this point that would be Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) father.

J.T. is a known quantity to all connected personas. Billy believes that spells trouble. Vickie obviously feels differently and doesn’t want one of her ex-husband’s to become overly involved in her personal life. Mr. Abbott agreed to back off, for now, and also wished her well after Vickie told him that she has strong feelings for J.T.

Viewers are likely to eventually see Vickie admit to Billy that his intuition was right. When and how that happens will be seen sometime this winter in daytime on CBS.
