Yes, it is possible that ‘Villy’ could live again on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Thad Luckinbill’s run as J.T. Hellstrom is ending, which will leave Vickie (Amelia Heinle) available.
Of course, the presence of ‘Philly’ will continue to roadblock chances that Vickie and Billy will get back together. However, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has shown increased interest in Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) personal life because she’s concerned that he’s in the process of repairing with Sharon (Sharon Case).
Phyllis claims that has nothing to do with her own reconciliation hopes and appears to be telling the truth. But ‘Phick’ has a history that easily could be sparked and revisited.
Billy learned from Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) that the ‘JTV’ family vacation was canceled. Vickie’s multiple-time ex-husband and possibly true love went to Newman Enterprises so he could console her. The conversation and hug he offered were accepted. ‘Villy’s’ reflexive act affirmed the fondness each person has for the other.

Whether Vickie and Billy will grow romantically close again is yet to be seen. But the connection they’ve sustained through parenting Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie (Sienna Mercuri) post-‘Villy’ has always made the possibility of another sequel possible for this one-time couple.
Heinle’s character is portrayed as having been lost within herself via this storyline. The transformation of Luckinbill’s character into a monster has disturbed longtime Y&R fans, as they believe J.T. would have never devolved to the point he has.
A certain contingent feels this arc accurately reflects what can happen to any person, citing their own life experiences. However, a balanced view of all relationships should acknowledge that either half of a couple, or both, can disintegrate, not just the J.T.’s of the world.
Pressure will obviously be on Billy once he knows that J.T. is quite literally out of Vickie’s life. Phyllis will still be there when that happens. No rulebook can be checked for how Thompson’s character will handle that dilemma. Compelling soap will then play out for all intrigued fans.
