The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Bets Hard – Ashley Plays Long Game

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) are playing different games on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The Chief Executive Officer believes a quick score will allow his recent blunders to be covered over. The Chief Operating Officer knows that patience will likely allow her to take over.

Summer (Hunter King) can be blamed for luring Billy back to his old life. She purposely scheduled a poker game at her condo when Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) was away. That enabled Billy to be drawn downstairs, to the round table, and be exhilarated by the taste of poker chips once more.

However, Billy has since opted against seeking any type of gambler anonymous-type help. Instead, he’s blown wads of cash and Jaboat, which cost one and a half million dollars of Jabot’s resources.

Phyllis is sure to learn of her significant other’s meanderings. If Billy’s lucky, which he generally isn’t, he’ll be the one to man-up and tell her about the mistakes he’s made. Yet, seasoned Y&R fans suspect that Phyllis will be shocked when she happens upon what Billy’s been doing instead.

Meanwhile, Ashley made a wise move by leaving Newman Enterprises and returning to her family company. Victor’s (Eric Braeden) brushed off her attempt to get information about the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) matter, which only served to underscore a lack of trust between this formerly married couple who share a grown daughter.

Davidson’s character sees that Billy’s loose approach has holes. So she’s merely waiting for the natural order of business to pull him under. Little does she know that his brother’s forced error could result in his own no-confidence vote, which would follow the one Jack (Peter Bergman) suffered at Ashley’s hands last year.

Billy the gambler who’s fallen off the wagon. Ashley the savvy business woman who has repositioned herself to lead Jabot with what will be two brothers out of the way. And who said that the Newman clan was the only contingent to be so calculating?
