The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Becomes Reluctant CEO – Jack Needs Third DNA Test

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy Becomes Reluctant CEO – Jack Needs Third DNA TestBilly (Jason Thompson) hasn’t always been motivated on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But this time he is. Because Jack (Peter Bergman) has gone missing, Billy agreed to sit in Jabot’s Chief Executive Officer’s chair after initially being reluctant to do so.

Jack’s current flame out has already been intense. Depending upon how Y&R plays this storyline, Mr. Whoever’s follow-up reactions could prove epic.

Learning that John (Jerry Douglas) isn’t his father doesn’t make soapy sense. But Jack and the others aren’t thinking logically. When Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) tested Jack’s sample against Traci’s (Beth Maitland), they merely proved a half-sibling relation existed, not that John wasn’t Jack’s father.

Continuing along logic lines, when Jack tested his sample against Billy’s he didn’t prove that John was Billy’s father. Jack proved that he and Billy weren’t related by blood.

Let’s assume that no one tampered with the DNA test Ashley and Abby requested, or the DNA test that Jack requested. Removing emotion, Traci and Billy could have fathers that weren’t John. The possibilities raised in this feature will remain open Until John’s sample is obtained and tested.

Y&R hasn’t allowed Jack to reach this conclusion because its staff has written him into a mental malaise. That is believable based upon this character’s personality. But some further development now needs to happen.

Dina (Marla Adams) recalling the name of the man she met at the Genoa City Athletic Club would lead to the Jack-Traci test answer likely being definitively explained. After that Jill (Jess Walton) needs to return to town and be pressed about Billy’s paternity.

Jill will love that her son is Jabot’s CEO and surely balk at any talk that he’s not an Abbott. So some saved portion of John, let’s say a hair sample, would then need to be tested against Jack’s, Traci’s, and Billy’s samples to learn who, or how many people he fathered among the three, (if any?). Here’s hoping that happens during this month’s May Sweeps.
