The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Abby Seeks Advice After the Fact – Ashley Can’t Help Daughter Now

What did Abby (Melissa Ordway) expect on ‘The Young and the Restless’? She went after Scott (Daniel Hall) repeatedly and didn’t reject him until recently. Asking Ashley (Eileen Davidson) for advice at this point is too little, too late. Yet, it’s understandable that children seek advice from their parents when life becomes complicated.

As savvy Y&R viewers know, Ordway delivered a healthy baby girl (her second child) in early December. The Ordway’s were happy to expand their family in the real world. However, back in Genoa City, Wisconsin, Abby has put herself into a pickle and will soon be stewing about it in Paris.

Executive producer and head writer Mal Young found a creative way to temporarily write Abby out of the picture. He’s invented an indefinite amount of time by having Abby fly to France to work on a European project with Lily (Christel Khalil). Separately, Y&R fans likely think that Mrs. Ashby won’t be gone for long because of ‘Lane’s’ revival possibility.

Viewers will learn ‘Scabby’s’ fate when Ordway is ready to return from maternity leave 2018. That assumes a spring or early summer reprisal for Abby.

Just prior to her exit, Abby updated her mom on the aforementioned messy matter. Ashley had plenty of dramatic relationship experience to pull from as she listened to her daughter. Obviously the same can be said for so many other soapy characters who get an earful from their children.

Scott’s dilemma is now two-fold. He claims to have feelings for both Sharon (Sharon Case) and Abby. Sharon wants nothing to do with him, which is why she kicked him out of the Cottage, dumped his belongings in front of the Tack House and stepped on the engagement ring he offered her.

Maybe Scott will have the bling polished and a second stone set? He could then offer his second romantic choice, Abby, a shot at marriage upon her return. Though ‘Shott’ was the nickname of Scott’s just-failed relationship. Possibly he should talk with his mom, Lauren (Tracey Bregman)?
