The Young and the Restless (YR) RUMOR: Summer Tells Sharon Everything – Shick Wedding Wrecked

Summer (Hunter King) is still furious with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. While Sharon (Sharon Case) doesn’t know it yet, that building problem will impact her wedding plans.

A recent sit-down, held at the Genoa City Athletic Club’s waning days of summer (yes, that word had to be used) rooftop pool deck, didn’t play out as Phyllis had planned. Summer directly told her mom what she thought of her. Phyllis was stunned that so much pent up resentment existed and could sense that more drama projected.

Meanwhile, Sharon believes that she’s about a month away from ‘Shick’s’ long-awaited re-nuptials. However, she has no idea that Nick (Joshua Morrow) was forced to pay Summer hush money to keep quiet about ‘Phick’s’ impulse reunion. The instant Sharon forcibly learns about that all will be wrecked.

Whether that happens before ‘Shick’s’ wedding day, or during it isn’t yet known. However, Summer’s belief that she is her mother’s moral superior will create collateral damage for her father and for Sharon as well.

Nick is naturally leery of the former ‘Supergirl’. Long gone are the days when ‘Phick’s’ daughter was played by a variety of child actors, one of whom was intentionally targeted by Patty (Stacy Haiduk). Her peanut-buttered weapon damage Summer at that time, but eventually all was overcome.

Today, fully healthy and completely aware of what she’s doing, Summer has begun to realize the consequences of the mayhem that’s taken place within the last three months. She’s alienated her parents and now, her best friend. Losing Kyle (Michael Mealor) will be the impetus that pushes King’s character to lash out with intent to negatively impact lives.

Coming awareness of Lola (Sasha Calle) and Kyle dating will provoke multiple acts of revenge, including Sharon’s knowledge-gain about Nick’s dalliance. Yes, ‘Kola’s‘ existence will spark Summer’s flame.

It would be hard to imagine Y&R teasing the desired ‘Shick’ remarriage to its fans and then having that outcome erased. So, possibly the trouble Summer causes will prove fixable as fall winds blow.
