The Young and the Restless (YR) RUMOR: Rey Goes After Nick – Victor Provides Dirt

What if Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) doesn’t target the coverup crew as that four-lady contingent and everyone else expects on ‘The Young and the Restless’. One of Y&R’s most recently released teaser videos shows this new character’s unsolved case board, where Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) photo has been prominently placed along with other targets.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) erased J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) from Genoa City in an act she will eventually claim was self-defense, which it was. She was defending Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and should have simply admitted as such to avoid this mess.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) knee-jerked into the suggestion of her then-realized coverup plan due to her own past crimes committed against Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell). Sharon (Sharon Case) felt it wrong to withhold what happened from the authorities, but was eventually peer-pressured into going along.

None of the above-mentioned ladies paid for a J.T. mask and wig. They didn’t craft a plan to impersonate the man everyone, except the coverup crew, simply thinks left GC. Nikki, Vickie, Phyllis, and Sharon also didn’t use J.T.’s identity and his continuing absence as a weapon against Victor (Eric Braeden) in an attempt to start Dark Horse and bring Newman Enterprises down. Nick did all that.

This is soap, so even though Phyllis’ (as then played by Michelle Stafford) crimes remained unjustly alive without legal consequence, it seems likely that Nick’s actions will be uncovered and addressed. Assuming that happens, Morrow’s character suddenly rises to the top of the suspect list.

The coverup crew will then be placed in the position of remaining silent, or allowing Nick to take the rap for something he didn’t do. Considering that the involved parties are represented by his mother, sister, ex-wife, and current fiance, Y&R fans naturally will believe that one, two, three, or four of them will come clean. However, even their admission won’t wipe away the crimes Morrow’s character committed in portraying Mr. Hellstrom.

Might it be plausible to believe that the ‘Moustache’ will engineer said coming reveal(s)? Of course it’s reasonable to at least consider that speculation. And thus another logical rumor has been presented to Y&R’s devoted and discerning audience.
