The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Will Hilary Use Devon’s Sample – Hevon Baby Created?

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) was devastated on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Her doctor told her that she had a chemical pregnancy. But all is not lost, as the host of the ‘Hilary Hour’ still has Devon’s (Bryton James) sample if she wants to use it.

That’s the latest self-created dilemma Hilary faces. She can try to become the mother of Devon’s child, all the while knowing that an initial consequence would be paid.

Devon surprisingly agreed to have a child with Morgan’s character earlier this year. Then he had a legal contract created by Michael (Christian Le Blanc) in order to attempt to keep Hilary in check for at least eighteen years after his daughter or son’s birth. Devon’s litigiousness should have made Hilary realize that her former husband doesn’t trust her.

When decency is considered, Hilary may always fall short of Genoa City’s expectations. So, there may actually be little to lose if she is able to deliver a child through the unauthorized use of Devon’s sample. Actually, the risky move could eventually convince Devon to reconcile. Hilary understands that a child-tie would permanently link Devon to her life.

James’ character presents himself as a very ethical person. When so doing he doesn’t often reference that Neil (Kristoff St. John), his adopted father, was married to Hilary when they fell in love and created a relationship. The formation of ‘Hevon’ has and will always remain steeped in that sordid origin.

So it may be that Devon feels he’s drawn to the steamy side of life by Hilary’s charms. If so, he’s coming out. Hilary hasn’t actually made him do anything. However, having his baby through dishonest means would be a monumental offense.

Yes, all members of the Winters and Ashby families would vent their wrath on the dastardly GC Buzz owner. Devon would be heavily influenced by that emotional storm. But the sight of his child would also simultaneously melt his heart. He would bond with that new life and, in time, probably become open to reconciling with Hilary in full.
