The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Will Hilary and Devon Have a Baby?

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is desperate to have a baby with Devon (Bryton James) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Until recently, Mr. Hamilton was on board with that plan. But now not he’s not and that’s a major problem for Hilary.

Based on her recent return to form, Devon told Hilary that they were done. He did add an addendum. If she was already pregnant, their contractual agreement would be adhered to.

Devon’s own actions begged many questions. One of them was why he would legally agree to create another human life with someone he obviously didn’t trust? Another was why he’s never been able to bring himself to accept Hilary as she is, rather than wanting her to conform to who he wants her to become.

Hilary is now claiming to be with child. Whether that’s true, or not remains to be seen. However, Y&R fans can surely project a scenario where Hilary uses the marvels of modern science to artificially created Devon’s offspring someway, somehow, or Devon changes his mind again.

Lily (Christel Khalil) has desperately been trying to block this seemingly bizarre plan of Devon’s. Simone (Shanica Knowles) appears to have caught Devon’s eye and might prove to be enough of a distraction to prevent Devon, Jr. or Hilary II from happening.

Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) return to town has already impacted the lives of his family. Hilary’s been kicked out of the Hamilton Winters Group offices and will be closely watched by her one-time husband, meaning Neil.

Viewers know that the pairing of Morgan and James easily ranks with the most charismatic on the show. Genoa City is simply more interesting whenever Hilary and Devon are in the same frame. Writing them apart seems unlikely. Whether Y&R opts to fully reform ‘Hevon’ is an interesting decision to ponder.

A baby would forever link this pairing. So their storyline seems likely to flow in that direction. Yet, it hasn’t happened at this point.
