The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Who Will Be Confirmed As Christian’s Biological Father – Adam, Nick, or Gabriel Bingham?

Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) will eventually learn about his chaotic early-life on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But for now he’s just a little boy who could be the son of three different men.

Sage (Kelly Sullivan) claimed that her baby was Adam’s (Justin Hartley), instead of Nick’s (Joshua Morrow). But testing results to-date have only confirmed that Sage is Christian’s mother, while the paternity issue hasn’t been scientifically addressed.

Y&R has purposely left the paternity matter open in order to eventually revisit all connected issues, which is happening now. So that seemingly leaves two father possibilities. One would be Adam, as Sage stated, and the other would be Nick, right?

Fully suspend disbelief and don’t use Y&R’s presented history to-date as a guide. Why couldn’t executive producer and head writer Mal Young make Gabriel Bingham (also Hartley) Christian’s biological father? Well, he could. What follows are some of the how’s and why’s.

How would Gabriel be Christian’s father? First, a paternity test must be conducted, with, or without Nick’s knowledge. If his DNA sample doesn’t match Christian’s then Adam would be the default father, unless he’s not.

What if Gabriel never died, as was previously suggested by many Y&R fans? For whatever his reasons, Mr. Bingham perpetrated a lie against Sage and later, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Yes, the surgery issue would have to be explained to some believable extent. But daytime devotees know that impossible reveal could come to pass, as soap fans are often open to fictional revisions if productive storylines follow.

Why would Y&R choose this path? Well, if Gabriel was blown up in the cabin and is truly dead then someone else could still be, or is actually alive. Yes, Adam.

Fade to black, roll the credits. As that happens remember, anything is possible in Genoa City.
