‘The Young and the Restless’ (YR) Poll: Which Couple Is The Worst in Genoa City?

All couple nicknames are known among fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’. But among those pairings which one, more than the others, shouldn’t exist?

Some fans may assert that more than one pairing should be scratched. But this feature asks for a hard-pressed decision to be made. Pick one couple that should be dashed.

‘Niktor’ is Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden). They’ve been married many times and are clearly soul mates. Currently, they aren’t fighting. But tomorrow, or the next day that status could change. Victor will do something terrible, Nikki will enable, or the Moustache will treat his devoted wife badly and she’ll leave.

‘Shick’ took forever to be written back together. But looming issues seem certain to split them up. Nick (Joshua Morrow) didn’t know that Sharon (Sharon Case) was part of the cover-up crew before Morrow’s character began his transformation into a mini-Victor. After that happened, Nick romantically reconnected with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Is this couple destined to remain together, or doomed before they reach the altar for the projected fall wedding?

‘Philly’ formed in a scandalous fashion. But Phyllis and Billy (Jason Thompson) have remained together. Their so-called relationship is steeped in physical attraction and their combined yearning for a rush. Phyllis’ recent moment with Nick won’t be accepted by Billy, whenever that reveal happens. Also, there’s Summer (Hunter King), who’s been buzzing around Billy without relent. She wants to stop ‘Philly’ using any means necessary.

‘Lane’ has its issues. Whether the legal system allows them to remain physically together much longer is a real question. Would Lily (Christel Khalil) tell Cane (Daniel Goddard) to move on if she’s convicted on two counts of vehicular homicide? ‘Lane’ fans surely believe this couple’s bond would strengthen if that happens, but this duo’s detractors want to see them end.
