The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Team Nick or Team Victor – Who Should Control Christian’s Life?

Adam (Justin Hartley and before him, Michael Muhney) fans and viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ have been heard. It’s very well known that they want this character to be resurrected. But until (not if) that happens, who should control his son Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy) life, Nick (Joshua Morrow), or Victor (Eric Braeden)?

This choice isn’t as clear as it might seem to supporters of Morrow’s character, or of Braeden’s. However, the work both actors are evidencing is strong, superb, and pleasing. One of soap’s many benefits is the observance of talent in long form, which is again proven via the collaborative efforts these solid actors and the legacy characters they embody have gifted across many years.

In this corner stands Nicholas Newman. He believed that Christian was his child since Sage (Kelly Sullivan) announced her pregnancy. Nick grieved the seeming death of his second-born son, but then miraculously reclaimed Christian after the Sully reveal dropped.

Most recently Nick seems to have confirmed through a DNA test that Christian was, in fact, Adam’s child. But the result didn’t sway his love, or commitment to someone who he’s always considered blood. Why would he ever be denied custody of this child?

In the opposite corner stands Victor Newman. He suspected that Christian was Adam’s child since shortly after his birth and apparently had that fact biologically affirmed.

Victor maintained his silence about Christian’s paternity for the past few years and hadn’t planned on legal action. But Nick’s rejection of the Newman Enterprises Chief Operating Officer’s position led to his promised block of interaction with Christian and the planned move to San Diego, California. So, Christian’s grandfather was forced to do what he did. The arbitrator’s temporary ruling means that Victor’s instincts were right, right?

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, as this family boxing match is considered, who should control Christian’s life before Adam is resurrected, Nick, or Victor? Please vote in our poll below!
