The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Will Hilary and Devon Unite Before or After Baby Arrives?

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ are smart and also wise. They know that Mishael Morgan (Hilary) and Bryton James (Devon) are solid actors who take their talents to another level when working together. The positive on-screen chemistry between actors is crucial. So, will the terrific characters they play agree to a full ‘Hevon’ commitment before, or after the baby arrives?

Yes, this poll question assumes at least two plot points. One, Y&R will have Hilary become pregnant and deliver a healthy baby boy, or girl. Second, that ‘Hevon’ will commit to each other before, or after that child is born.

Some could honestly assert that Hilary is somewhat patterned after Dru (played by the infinitely great Victoria Rowell) and Neil (played by legacy cast member and a great actor himself, Kristoff St. John). Of course, all people and therefore couples, are different. Therefore, it’s fair to assert that current Y&R fans, which includes many who were watching during the Dru and Neil years, appreciate today’s duo all on their own.

Okay, so Devon decided to end matters with Hilary in early 2017. Even though that was a disappointing development for fans of this couple, hope was linked to how that marriage ended. ‘Hevon’s’ genuinely amicable parting reflected the love each half proclaimed for the other and thus the likelihood that its bond would endure, which it has.

Devon said that he didn’t feel he could live with Hilary more than a year ago. For her part, Hilary also acknowledged that their existing relationship wasn’t working. But encouragingly, they held no ill will toward each other and, as viewers saw, remained connected after parting.

Devon’s choice to buy GC Buzz and then keep Hilary close at the Hamilton Winters Group likely, if not certainly was, a form of test. Mr. Hamilton was protecting himself, while also attempting to see if the groundwork for a higher level relationship sequel could be established.

Agreeing to have a baby and later, understanding why Hilary wanted to pursue the scientific route after learning of the chemical pregnancy, took Devon to a new place. He knows that Hilary’s growth and sincerity are real.

Let’s assume that this pair receives good news from the doctor later this month. After that happens and in consideration of both people’s single status, the path to a full reunion is cleared. Ideally, that also means marriage as that public pledge would signal each person’s belief in rebirth.
