The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John is starting the new year on the right foot. The popular soap actor shared his New Year’s affirmation on Instagram with his fans. Kristoff is putting a bad year behind him while giving himself a fresh new start for 2018.

The actor hinted that he would be using his work and his creativity to help spread a positive message for change and hope this year. Kristoff shared a photo on Instagram that simply said, “Page 1 of 365.” He captioned the pic with, “Someone, somewhere, in someway needs this right now. Just as much as me…and possibly you too. #blessings #feltcreative #thememusic#happynewyear.”
As many The Young and the Restless fans can recall, Kristoff was hospitalized back in October after he allegedly threated to kill himself with a gun. He was placed under psychiatric evaluation after police seized several weapons from his home. He was also placed on a 72 hour hold for mental evaluation.
Earlier that same month Kristoff pleaded with his Twitter followers to help him raise support for mental health awareness. He wrote, “Please retweet this and show support for: #MentalHealthAwareness #Mentalhealth #love #support #together.” He was feeling upset over the 2-year anniversary of his son Julian St. John’s suicide. Julian killed himself while he was being treated at a mental health hospital in Long Beach, California.
