The Young and the Restless Star Josh Morrow Shares Shocking News With Fans

For a lot of daytime television fans, they know that many soap stars come and go, mostly because they use shows such as General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful and so on as a stepping stone for projects that are much bigger in Hollywood.

That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that actor Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless, at one time wanted to quit the show. But luckily for fans, he had a change of heart about the soap and his future in daytime.

In a new interview with Michael Fairman, Josh said that he was looking to throw in the towel until he realized that he’s not done with being Nick just yet.

He said in his interview, “It sounds crazy to say, but having some darkness to play is refreshing. It’s given me a whole new lease on life around here. I am coming up on my 25th year on Y&R, early next year. Six months ago, I was thinking ‘I am done at 25 years. I just don’t think I can do it anymore. It’s been a great run. I’ve said everything I can say.’ But honestly, this story has given me a new energy about it that I don’t see that happening.”

For fans this is great news mostly because they love seeing Josh in his role. With so much going on in Genoa City and for Nick right now, there’s no doubt that Josh will get to tap into even more of his character’s darkness in the coming weeks.In the meantime, don’t forget that The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network.
