The Young and the Restless Star Doug Davidson Victim Of Online Scandal

The Young and the Restless star Doug Davidson has recently been victimized online. An unknown Twitter user hacked into his account and posted a rather personal message to Doug’s fans, leading many to believe that the daytime television star was throwing in the towel and leaving the soap.

Doug is best known for his role as Paul Williams on the show. He’s been on The Young and the Restless since 1978. Apparently, the hacker wanted Doug’s fans to believe that he is leaving the show simply because he doesn’t like the direction that the writers are taking the soap in.

The hacker wrote, “I honestly feel the direction the current writers are taking the show is not what the long time viewers want. I have been watching since 1986. My kids grew up watching the show and now watch too. They do not care for the direction the show is going too.”

Many of Doug’s Twitter followers were shocked with the tweet, as it came across as very uncharacteristic of him to say. Fortunately, Doug picked up on the hack very quickly and deleted the tweet immediately. He followed up with a message that said, “Thanks guys, Done. Hopefully that should fix it.”

In addition to The Young and the Restless, Doug has also starred in a number of television series and movies such as I’ll Take Manhattan, Dreaming of Joseph Lees, Diagnosis Murder and more.
