The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Lily Do Jail Time For Hilary’s Death?

The Young and the Restless news won’t go over well with Hevon fans, who wanted justice for Hilary (Mishel Morgan) and her baby. But as any fan knows on soap operas, the characters don’t serve prison time, but if they do it usually isn’t long. So the same can be said for Lily as she awaits her day in court.

Facing two counts of vehicular homicide, Lily is looking at twenty years in prison. Her husband Cand (Daniel Goodard) wanted their family to flee to Australia, but Lily refused, opting to face the obstacles ahead of her. With the big day quickly approaching it’s going to take a miracle to keep Lily out of prison.

The likely scenario is that at the last minute Devon (Bryton James) will have a change of heart and forgive his sister. Devon’s change in attitude will come either by Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) convincing their uncle to help their mom or by Devon receiving guidance from Hilary’s spirit.

Another likely scenario is that new evidence will surface to show that Lily wasn’t the one who caused the accident and it was actually the other driver. Then there’s also the option that Lily takes a plea deal that keeps her out of prison.

All these scenarios are likely, but the outcome is going to be Lily getting off scot-free. While Lane fans will be happy to see their favorite couple stay together, Hevon fans will be upset because Lily will move on with her life, while Devon will have nobody.

Even though Lily may escape prison time, the Winters family will still have to deal with the traumatic events of Hilary’s death. Lily will have to deal with the guilt that she played a part in Devon losing the two most important people in his life.

No matter what happens at Lily’s trail, the lives of the Winters and Ashby family has forever been altered.
