The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, October 31: Phyllis Scores Major CEO Advantage – Jill and Nikki’s Showdown – Kyle Blasts Summer

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, October 31, tease that the Jabot CEO battle will heat up. In the elevator, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) share some tense moments. Over with Kyle (Michael Mealor), he assures Jack (Peter Bergman) that he’s behind him 100 percent. The fact that Kyle wants the COO spot is only part of the reason why!

Afterward, Jack takes steps to give himself an advantage. He meets with Kerry Johnson (Alice Hunter), a woman he hopes will replace Ashley (Eileen Davidson) as head of R&D. Kerry declines Jack’s offer since she’s keeping her options open. When Billy offers his own deal, Kerry turns him down as well.

Meanwhile, Phyllis meets with Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and they establish that they have each other’s backs. At the board meeting, each CEO candidate makes his or her pitch. Phyllis goes last and reveals her secret weapon. Kerry appears and is ready to roll up her sleeves – but only if Phyllis is named CEO.

Elsewhere, the rest of the cover-up crew tackles the water leak crisis. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) doesn’t know if Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) up for moving the body. Victoria admits that she’ll always care about J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) as the father of her child. She wishes she could’ve made amends with her ex, but what’s done is done. Victoria feels like they have no choice but to dig up J.T.’s corpse.

Sharon’s part of the conversation, but eventually heads back to Crimson Lights. That leaves Nikki and Victoria to discuss their plans alone. Nikki wonders if they should just leave Sharon out of it. Soon after, a call comes in and Nikki ends up clashing with Jill (Jess Walton). As the person behind the sculpture, Jill isn’t happy she wasn’t brought in the loop.

Nikki rants right back, but Jill stands her ground initially. She wants to bring in her own team and deal with the water leak drama herself. Nikki objects and convinces Jill to back down with Arturo’s (Jason Canela) help. He believes he can avoid damaging the sculpture, so Jill lets him do his thing. Nikki and Jill decide they’ll be on hand to watch.

At Crimson Lights, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) do some Halloween party prep. Rey (Jordi Vilasuo) appears and starts grilling Mariah about Sharon’s charity project. Since Mariah doesn’t know anything, she suggests Rey will have to ask Sharon. Once Rey moseys off, Tessa notes that he questioned her about the charity work, too.

Sharon returns and gets updates on Rey’s snooping. It’s clear that Sharon needs to watch her back around her new friend! He’s really more of a frenemy, so it’s wise to be wary. Kyle also scores points with Lola (Sasha Calle) on Wednesday. She overhears him chewing out Summer (Hunter King) and defending his new romantic pursuit.

Lola determines that Kyle’s worth another shot and seals it with a kiss. When Lola mentions her about-face to Rey, he’s a bit concerned. Rey hints that a person can say all the right things, but the heart doesn’t always line up. He wants his little sis to watch out for herself.
