The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, May 23: Jack & Kyle Plot– Nick & Sharon Argue Over Newman Return – Abby Takes a Stand“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, May 23, tease that Billy (Jason Thompson) will move forward with his own goals. At Jabot, Billy reveals some of the changes he has in mind. For example, he wants a window between the reception area and his office. Billy hopes to promote the same kind of open environment John (Jerry Douglas) liked.

Later, Jack (Peter Bergman) shows up and Kyle’s not far behind. Billy’s frustrated when the upcoming fundraiser is mentioned. Jack insists his brother will be attending as an investor instead of Jabot’s CEO. However, Billy refuses to let Jack live in denial. He notes that Jack will share office space with Kyle (Michael Mealor).

Gloria (Judith Chapman) feels stuck in the middle of this mess, so she pushes Billy to fix it. He ultimately confides in Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Billy’s afraid of what this conflict will do to his relationship with Jack. At the coffeehouse, Jack and Kyle mull over the situation. Despite all the drama, Kyle’s confident that Jack will reclaim the throne. He vows to be right there as Jack’s second-in-command.

Jack returns to Jabot with Kyle and offers an apology for being so harsh before. He tries to get along with Billy, but they still end up clashing over Jabot’s new direction. Afterward, Kyle speaks with Jack privately. He’s miffed that his dad has to suck up to Billy, but Jack’s just trying to make their takeover plot work. This is going to be far more difficult that Jack thought.

At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) urges Nick (Joshua Morrow) to turn down Victor’s (Eric Braeden) offer. She just doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but Nick hints that he’s leaning toward a Newman comeback. He suggests that carrying on Victor’s legacy is important, but Sharon isn’t about to let this go.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is summoned for a meeting soon after. When she hears Nick might be returning to Newman, she’s thrilled. That’s not the reaction Sharon had in mind. She wants Victoria to talk Nick out of it, but Victoria insists this is a good thing. Nick can back his sister up against Ashley and it’ll keep his mind off the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) search.

Victoria tries to get Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) support as well, but that plan doesn’t work out. Abby doesn’t want to add anyone else Victor could support over her. Arturo (Jason Canela) also shares some flirty moments with Abby on Wednesday. She helps him pick out a stylish suit for the fundraiser.

Victoria winds up at Sharon’s place eventually. She discusses this possible Newman return with Sharon and Nick. After Sharon reveals the “Shick” reunion, Victoria maintains that she needs Nick to back her up at the company. As for Nick, it seems he’ll think returning to Newman is in his best interest.
