When Hilary complains about the boring episode plan, Phyllis suggests switching the location. Hilary argues that Devon wouldn’t go for that. The conversation shifts to Hilary’s pregnancy mission, so Phyllis pushes her to hurry it along. Hilary confirms her insemination appointment a little later.
During the show, Hilary discusses an uncomfortable topic with Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Secrets and lies are the theme, so Hilary faces a guilty conscience. Speaking of guilt, there’s plenty of that going around on “The Young and the Restless.” Victoria (Amelia Heinle) certainly deals with some when Paul (Doug Davidson) calls her in for questioning.
Paul wants to talk about the evening J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) disappeared. He brings up the cell phone signal, which shows J.T. was near Victoria’s house. She argues that perhaps J.T. simply dropped his phone.
Paul reminds Victoria that nothing was found outside. He wonders if J.T. reached out to her at all, so she confesses that he did. Victoria indicates that she missed J.T.’s messages and eventually deleted them.
Victoria endures more questions about when she was spotted in her car. Paul asks why she didn’t come clean about J.T.’s abuse, so Victoria claims it was for Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) sake. Naturally, Paul feels like things just aren’t adding up. He mentions the possibility that Victoria helped J.T. skip town. Paul pushes Victoria for honesty, but she maintains that she’s given him all available info.
At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) gets caught in her undies! Nick (Joshua Morrow) sees his ex in only her bra and panties, so he needs need a cold shower to push past temptation. Afterward, Sharon and Nick move in close as she adjusts a thread on his sweater.
Suddenly, a phone call comes in from Paul. It’s Sharon’s turn to get grilled, so Nick heads over as well. When Sharon speaks with Paul privately, she mentions that Victoria ignored her ringing phone at the party. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) also tackle separate interrogations. Like Victoria, they claim her phone was off.
At the ranch, Sharon’s blunder worries the rest of the cover-up crew. However, she thinks any story inconsistencies can be blamed on the booze. Nikki, Phyllis, Sharon and Victoria all debate what to do next. They contemplate closing the park down briefly and moving the body.
Victoria decides she’s tired of all this drama. She believes she’s at fault for the mess everyone’s in. During a conversation with Nikki, Victoria states that she’s going to make a confession. She plans to tell Paul that she killed J.T.
