The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, June 6: Summer’s Scandalous Story – Nick’s Secret Weapon for Custody Battle

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, June 6, tease that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will face some shockers. At home, she gets updates on the custody battle and wonders why a judge would even consider siding with Victor (Eric Braeden). Nick (Joshua Morrow) notes that Adam (Justin Hartley) is actually Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) biological father. That could shift the situation.

In lockup, Summer (Hunter King) gripes about being thrown behind bars over a misunderstanding. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) contemplates leaving her in there for a while, but Billy (Jason Thompson) keeps her focused on the goal. They have to bail Summer out and get some answers.

Later, Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case) hear about the arrest. They show up at Phyllis’ apartment to get the scoop. Summer eventually spills the whole story. She was involved with a married man named Pax, but she couldn’t handle his clingy nature. Pax wouldn’t let her go, so she vowed to tell his wife the truth if he didn’t back off.

Summer indicates that the sports car was a present. She assumes Pax wanted to keep her mouth shut, but the wife must’ve found out anyway. That would explain why the vehicle was reported stolen. Summer’s parents disapprove of her being the other woman, but she throws their pasts in their faces. It’s not like Phyllis and Nick haven’t cheated before.

Once Nick and Sharon are back home, they talk about the custody case. Since Victor has Michael (Christian LeBlanc) in his corner, Nick notes that he got Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) to represent him. However, he still has concerns about history being dragged into this. Sharon determines that despite the changes she’s made in her life, Nick may not be able to win if they stay together.

Across town, Jack’s (Peter Bergman) miffed to learn that Neil (Kristoff St. John) won the bidding war. After submitting a late bid for a higher amount, Neil is officially Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) new neighbor. It doesn’t take long for conflict to hit. Neil isn’t happy about Hilary moving in with Devon. He defends his offer, but Neil feels like Hilary wants to be more than roomies.

Hilary finds Mariah and rants about Neil’s latest move. She fears her reunion with Devon will be derailed. Back at home, Devon gives less-than-thrilled Hilary the guestroom. She probably suspects Neil’s influence is already creeping in.
