The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, July 4: Hilary Scrambles After Unexpected Blow – Phyllis and Billy’s Tricky Predicament

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, July 4, tease that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will face an Independence Day dilemma. At The Dive Bar, GC Buzz begins a special Fourth of July episode. The mayor’s set to make an appearance, but ultimately cancels. Hilary decides she’ll have to get creative if she wants to fill this airtime.

Fortunately, there are plenty of festive partygoers around to help. Lily (Christel Khalil) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) step forward to do some interviews. Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) take their turns going live, too.

Shauna (Camryn Hamm) messes up with some behind-the-scenes stuff, which scores her a couple outbursts from Hilary. However, Hil softens with a little nudge from Lily. She decides Shauna should take the rest of the holiday off and just enjoy hanging out with friends.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Charlie and Mattie eventually break some bad news. They tell Cane and Lily they want to attend another Independence Day shindig, so these parents offer their blessing. Thankfully, Mattie and Charlie come back later for family bonding. These four get a chance to be together under the fireworks, so they couldn’t ask for a better night.

Despite the fun of this gathering, Cane can’t shake his fears about Jack (Peter Bergman). He wants to protect his spot at Chancellor and keep Jack’s grubby paws off the company. However, Esther (Kate Linder) thinks Cane should prepare for the inevitable. She notes that Jack tends to get his way, so Cane should be ready for trouble.

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) also has to deal with Hilary’s attitude on Wednesday. Of course, she should be used to it by now! Despite some distracting texts, Tessa manages to get her head in the game and pitch in. She agrees to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” and her performance is definitely a hit.

At home, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) talk about their plans for his birthday. They hope to hit the yacht, but they need to swing by Jabot first. Billy has to grab the keys before they can go out on the water.

Once they’re in the elevator, Arturo (Jason Canela) and his crew cut off the power. They’re doing some work on site and obviously didn’t expect “Philly” to be in the lift. Nevertheless, Phyllis and Billy do what they do best in there. They make passionate love, which leads to some embarrassing moments. Arturo and the others find the bare lovers cuddling under their blanket.

Luckily, Abby (Melissa Ordway) makes sure Arturo doesn’t feel left out. They end up having a session of their own later. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Arturo and Abby will continue to heat things up, but Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) sure to object.
