The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wed, February 28: Nick Crushing Confirmation – Devon Wants ‘The Mariah Hour’ – Ashley Suspicious

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, February 28, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) will decide to get another paternity test. At the coffeehouse, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) fill Nick in on Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) admission. They reveal that they secured DNA evidence, but Nick can’t fully accept this as the truth yet.

At the hospital, Nick waits for the more test results with Sharon. He recalls how harsh he was when he took Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) away from her. Sharon confesses that it was rough for a while, but she found a new path. She’s just happy that her relationship with Nick’s on solid ground.

After the DNA results are delivered, Nick’s devastated. He cries over the confirmation that Christian isn’t his son. Sharon hugs Nick as he tries to wrap his head around the news. At home, Phyllis updates Billy (Jason Thompson) and he frets about Victor (Eric Braeden) finding out. Of course, Y&R fans know Victor’s been on the paternity secret from the get-go.

At the athletic club, Jack (Peter Bergman) sits down with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to work on their plot. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) sees them and immediately grows concerned. She stops by Billy’s (Jason Thompson) place to relay the info. Billy mentions that Victoria grilled him about the Abbott clan’s issues, but he promises he didn’t divulge anything important.

Over at the TV studio, Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) spar. Mariah jumps in and questions why Hilary wanted to quit her job. Hilary sighs over her broken bond with Devon. The tension is really getting out of hand. Hilary has to leave for a bit, but vows to return before the show kicks off.

Devon’s annoyed when Hilary doesn’t make it back in time, but Mariah does just fine on her own. That gives Devon an idea. He suggests that maybe Hilary isn’t as crucial to the brand as he thought. Devon states that he’s going to accept Hilary’s resignation and turn this into “The Mariah Hour.” He grabs some Champagne and proposes a toast to this exciting new chapter.

However, Mariah may not be willing to accept all the changes. She clashes with Hilary constantly, but she seems to care about her deep down. Devon’s decision could lead to more drama for these frenemies, so some fun scenes should be brewing. We’ll keep you posted as other “Young and the Restless” details and rumors emerge.
