The Young and the Restless Spoilers Tuesday, October 2: Mariah Reveals Cheating Shocker to Sharon – Traci’s Takeover Brings a Warning

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, October 2, tease that Billy (Jason Thompson) will face his downfall. At Jabot, he makes his pitch to remain on the throne. Traci (Beth Maitland) argues that she’s willing to take over since she knows about the theft.

Billy snaps that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) just needs somebody more submissive. He’s appalled with his family for selling him out, so he heads for the door. Soon after, Traci becomes Jabot’s next CEO. When Ashley presents her sister with paperwork, Traci wants to look it over first. She hints that she intends to take this seriously, so Ash offers a warning about how addictive power can be.

Over with Billy and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Jack corners them and brings up the stolen money. It wasn’t fair of Phyllis to keep him in the dark. She defends the decision and they all shift gears. Jack and Phyllis want Billy to follow through on his rehab plan. His recovery is still what’s most important.

After Jack’s gone, Billy opens up to Phyllis about his fears. He frets about Jack becoming Phyllis’ ally, but she notes that they just want him to get through this. Over with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), she clashes with Summer (currently played by Bayley Corman) over the one-night stand shocker. Summer wonders if Mariah’s blabbed yet and suggests she’d better make her choice soon.

At home, Mariah overhears Nick chatting with Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). He’s eager to have the perfect wedding, house and family. Mariah eventually drops a hint about Nick’s past relationships. She asks if Nick has any unfinished business with the significant women in his history. Nick’s taken aback, but assures Mariah that Sharon’s the only woman for him.

Afterward, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) shares her anxiety with Mariah. She doesn’t seem to trust that this marriage will work out. Faith contends that when two people get married, they need to be sure it’s the right call. Once alone, Mariah continues to wrestle with the secret. Sharon finds her daughter looking distressed, so she wonders what’s up.

Mariah finally admits that Nick and Phyllis slept together, so Sharon’s got a big decision to make. Meanwhile, Lola (Sasha Calle) convinces Arturo (Jason Canela) to help Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) with some boxes. Rey’s moving his stuff up to his new apartment at Crimson Lights, so he could use some extra hands.

Kyle (Michael Mealor) finds Lola later and wants to go out, but she’s busy tonight. She offers the next night as an alternative, but Kyle teases that he’ll be at the animal shelter shampooing the cats. These two are both feisty, but maybe that’s what’ll draw them together in the end!
